While awaiting the final cover design for The Krismere I was able to rendezvous with colleagues on the banks of the Little Missouri River in Arkansas for Halloween. Certainly a frightening collection of mischief makers from Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Arkansas, and Louisiana. Unseasonably heavy rains prior delayed the assemblage for Louisiana trekkers as much of Northwest Louisiana and Southwest Arkansas was flooded. But, the durable (and, alas, now homeless) Saturn Vue negotiated a surprise ford leading into the designated wilderness camp. Santa Fe based photographer, artist, marketing wizard, and wilderness rescue volunteer Gary Cascio was on hand to capture the moment (photos © Gary Cascio.)
