Celebrating the Solstice!

I'm re-posting this marvelous overture to "The Bat." This is so good, on so many levels. Seems appropriate for the Summer Solstice!

Life is Good

Besides one of my favorite overtures, Strauss' "Die Fledermaus", this young fellow gets it, shares it, and thus hope springs eternal.

What a blend of talent, music, optimism, energy - not bad for 2013.
(Thanks to neoneocon for bringing this to my attention.

Lindsey Higgins' abductions by non-human beings manifested in panic and terror she experienced as a child, teenager and adult. She painfully revealed her story for the first time publicly in the Netflix series Haunted. Witnessing her story and personally acquainted with Lindsey, pendulum dowsers, paranormal researchers and ufologists Dan Baldwin and George Sewell had questions, chief among them: how does one research events combining UFOs, reincarnation and direct contact with the spirit world? The answer was clear: Pendulum dowsing.

Krismere - The Point of Discovery

Suspense thriller and paranormal mystery, Krismere - The Point of Discovery, bridges the here-and-now with a moment fifty-four thousand years ago that dramatically affected civilization. Counseling Psychologist Harry Wilson is a person of interest to a covert alliance of government agencies, a philanthropic institution and selected individuals and is manipulated to participate in an experiment to locate a great Temple. His physical presence is essential for the rare technology to traverse time and space, then and now. What happens once the experiment is launched is unknown, and what unfolds is not according to plan.

Just the FAQs, Please!

Just released on Kindle - Just the FAQs, Please, About Alcohol and Drug Abuse by Dan Baldwin and George Sewell.

Foreword to the Second Edition

Few subjects are more fraught with anxiety and dissention than addiction. Fewer still are the resources for non-professionals that treat the matter with knowing, compassionate humor. Just the FAQ’s, Please straddles adroitly that precarious borderland between intimidating complexity on one hand and frustrating oversimplification on the other. . . With the important distinction between substance abuse and dependence in place, the authors move to the heart of the book in describing the characteristic disruptions in normal behavior and thinking, both of addicts and of loved ones and others, whose lives are impacted by the addict’s seemingly willfully-destructive behavior. The book’s final chapters discuss contemporary treatment and information resources for addictive disorders. This portion of the book drives home the point that family members suffer as much or more than the identified patient the pain and anguish from this primitive, unrelentingly-powerful disorder.
