The News Perspective

I hear about doom and gloom from folks a lot.  They watch the news and see tragedy after tragedy, hear about them on podcasts, radio - whatever is their source for “news.” The news is a litany of man’s inhumanity to each other, to animals, to the earth and so on.  The question that goes bump in the night is; Why are these awful happenings news?

Because they are deviations from the norm.  What is mostly reported as “news” are instances where people behave in a way different from the usual.  Give it some thought.  While there are occurrences that are painful, destructive, ugly and mean, they are so few as to garner attention.  These occurrences and behaviors are not the normal but the exception.

If these exceptions distract you from living your best, then turn your attention elsewhere.  What you give your attention is what you see more of and experience more of; aka the law of attraction.  If you wish to keep up with the “news” then do so in small doses and always, always, project a blessing to whatever is making the news.  Make your own news, for yourself.

(And thanks to those readers who dropped by the Studio May 14 for the pendulum workshop and book signing.  A good time was had by all!)
